Years ago, Abelina (pictured) decided to produce coffee because she knew it would bring her numerous opportunities rather than wealth.
Her typical day starts at 3am on one of the steepest farms on the 'Beecause We Care 365' project, and while most people would find it difficult to work on this terrain, Abelina does with enthusiasm and a keen sense of humour.
BWC365 is an environmental and community development organization based in Cusco, Peru, empowering local families to thrive through sustainable environmental practices. This is important because people from these communities are extremely vulnerable due to environmental, economic and social challenges.
