having travelled all the way from St.Helena in the South Atlantic Ocean to West Yorkshire, England... a distance of approximately 5,000 miles as the Fairy Tern flies.

On Thursday 29th April 2021, the first consignment of beans arrived, having taken approximately seven weeks to reach my door from the day of posting. This was a longer amount of time than expected, due to work-place Covid restrictions at a Greater London postal depot.

The beans start their journey by sea on board the MV Helena, sailing approximately 700 nautical miles from St.Helena to Ascension Island. They then fly as cargo on an RAF flight to Brize Norton, England. The final stage is down to the Royal Mail.
